This inaugural volume of the Encyclopedia of the Taryag Mitzvoth is devoted to the Ten Commandments. There are actually fourteen mitzvos included in the Ten Commandments. According to the commmentators, all 613 Mitzvos of the Torah are somehow connected to one or the other of these mizvos. Therefore, in a certain sense, the mitzvos presented in this volume are a microcosm of the entire mitzvah system of the Torah, and this volume is a microcosm of the entire Encyclopedia.

This volume will be a permanent part of the Enclclopedia where it will take its proper place in sequence. It will be an easily reconized refernce work for Shavuoth or any other time that a reader feels inspired to revisit the Ten Commandments as a separate unit.
